Auricle is a Chicago-based outlet documenting local music, art and creative communities through interviews, writing and video. Originally launched in 2024 alongside UIC Radio’s Future Sound of Chicago, the project continues to evolve as an independent archive and creative space. Check out the inaugural issue of auricle, a short compilation of Chicago’s music scene. From shoegaze and post-hardcore to ravey jungle beats, issue 1 spotlights the artists, releases and shows shaping the city’s underground sound in 2024. This issue is a hodgepodge of goodness delivering delectable Chicago sonic flavor, including interviews and amateur photography.
